Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations. This therapeutic technique can be developed through the practice of meditation and other training.
We are following the book Mindfulness for Health by Burch and Penman which is based on an MBSR variant.
